Just when you thought you’d had enough share of shows on your watch list, our guilty pleasure series — the most culpable of them all — has been resurrected on HBO Max. The Gossip Girl Reboot has been all the talk around every possible boulevard and back alley on the Internet. The original show’s exemplary display of outré, scandalous, and, oddly enough, the bewitching power struggle between the unique lives of privileged yet troubled teenagers is back to lure us in one more time.
While we still fawn over Blair’s dainty headbands, we could really use a little more space for new, fresh pieces. Could the newfound leaders of this one-percenter hierarchy be able to upstage their predecessors when it comes to fashion? That’s one secret we’ll gladly tell.

Julien Calloway
At the top of this new empire sits a queen worthy of her throne. One might ponder on their outfit choices being shackled by a strict dress code, but the rules clearly don’t apply to this influencer, model, and resident it-girl, Julien Calloway. She makes a strong impression with her distinct mix of dressy normcore and cutting-edge boldness. Swinging her Fendi purse down the halls of Constance Billard, JC marks her territory with her signature high-leather boots. Whoever dares to cross her path will be dealt with — in style, of course.
Zoya Lott
It’s not Gossip Girl if there isn’t a walking pandora’s box to bring about the controversy. Sweatshirt-clad Zoya Lott’s entrance to the lives of New York’s elite gives birth to the reboot’s new string of drama, as well as a surprising yet refreshing discord on social politics. Is Little Z the new Little J? We think not. She’s not the new S to B either. The plot dynamics on both seasons may allow space for comparison between characters from the GG cinematic universe, but what defines Zoya is her free-spirited girl-next-door charm. Is there anyone who doesn’t feel like showing up to school in oversized hoodies and sneakers?
Monet De Haan
Here’s a rumor we’re confirming right here on THREAD: the once-beloved headbands have officially been banished and locked deep into the sartorial archives. The judge: Monet De Haan. Publicist/adviser to the reigning empress is a role she plays well. She struts a little bit to Queen Julien’s side, but her power over social media is what keeps heads turning and fingers tapping on screens. Influence is not all she has; her choice of tweed jackets, English prep school style blazers, and elaborate chokers prove she deserves to walk alongside royalty and even advise them.
Luna La
Shows like Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, and Euphoria raised generations of ravenous fashionmongers apprehensive of fluctuating trends. To keep up with this ever-changing force, one must be quick-witted and up to date —this doesn’t pose a problem for Luna. Behind the lavish Instagram stories and well-curated get-ups of influencers and A-list celebs are mastermind stylists — a.k.a Luna La, guilty as charged. While JC keeps it bold, Luna’s style is more subtle, feminine, timeless, and equally captivating.
Audrey Hope
You’d think Queen Blair herself might have taken this upper east sider under her tutelage with the elegant presence she exudes. This may be too high of a regard, but she reminds us of the young Waldorf; not one to hide claws and scurry away from the drama. Dressed in an almost timeless fashion with hints of modern upscale NYC, Audrey graces the streets in seamless neutral sweater vests and cardigans paired with a bold choice of bag. Is comparing her to B too much of a reach? We think she’s a formidable force on her own.
Kate Keller
Life as a professor in a prestigious school filled with affluent people isn’t as gratifying as it sounds. For Kate Keller, nothing is worse than bumping into a group of fashion snobs who never miss the opportunity to pick on her selection of clothing. Now, there’s only so much a professional of the working class can hang up in their wardrobe. Though, we might say Kate pulls off the approachable and reliable teacher look quite easily as she dons the classic ‘literature junkie’ style: neckerchiefs and leather totes.
Gossip Girl has taken over the lives of not just the jaded and socially besetting teens but also those who are entranced by the black hole that her platform offers — us included. Whether the reboot has done the original any justice is still up for debate. But the fashion? Sublime.
