The Fall 2018 runways were all about maximalism, which might make some of the trends seem a little bit intimidating to integrate into your everyday wardrobe.

Not to worry, though — we’ve rounded up three of this season’s hottest but also very wearable trends:

Ruching

MbyM Lorena Skirt | Miu Miu Fall 2018

The secret to wearing body-con skirts and dresses? A little bit of ruching. The gathering of fabric in strategic areas can help draw attention towards the most flattering parts of your body. Plus, it adds a little bit of extra detail to your look.

Red

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2018 | Something Borrowed Cami Culotte Jumpsuit

Red is the color of fall, but this season, we saw it loud and proud on the runways, with models decked out in the color from head to toe. If wearing fire engine red all over your body is a scary prospect, try going for a more muted tone, or mixing different fabrics or fabrics for an interesting monochrome look.

Prints on Prints

Mango Printed Cotton Skirt | Cinq à Sept Fall 2018

This is the most intimidating trend of the three, but it’s still totally wearable. Ease in by wearing two prints in the same color family (the easiest is all neutrals, but you can also combine two trends and wear all red). A quick suggestion to get you started: on-trend zebra stripes, and then a thick horizontal-striped sweater.
