Gone were the days of baggy sweatpants and slouchy tees as the airport fashion norm.
Here are a few tips and tricks to help you jet-set in comfort and style!

Flat shoes
Walking is inevitable when travelling. From lining up to secure your boarding passes and checking in luggage to multiple security checks and finally boarding lines. The moment you step foot in the airport, expect a lot of standing in line and walking through endless gates and terminals.
To keep your feet from hurting, wear comfortable shoes. With the array of stylish flat shoes available, you won’t ever have to worry about sacrificing comfort for style. You can choose from cool loafers, pretty ballerina flats to your favorite pair of sneakers.

Backpacks
Backpacks are one of the best and easiest bags to lug around during your travels. Keeping track of your things can be a pain if you’re in a hurry and excited for your trip. Thankfully, backpacks are roomy enough to fit all your travel essentials. From your passport and boarding passes to your tech gadgets and even in-flight boredom busters such as books and your favorite magazine subscriptions.

Layers
Wherever you’re headed, be it a sunny island or much cooler destinations, it won’t hurt to keep your layering pieces in check. A knit sweater to keep you warm when the airplanes air conditioning is on full blast, or a cool bomber jacket for weather that’s a bit too chilly for your liking. Take your pick from scarves, shawls and outerwear such as sweaters and coats. Layers help you stay warm whilst simultaneously adding that extra dose of style into your otherwise basic ensembles.
Style Tip: Pair your basic white tee with mom jeans and a neutral toned coat. You could also try pairing a collared top, denim overalls with black tights and top of with your favorite comfy trainers.

Barely there makeup
Beauty gurus recommend to keep makeup to a minimum when travelling. Airplane cabin air can be extremely drying on your skin. To avoid flaky skin, zits and dried up makeup, use tinted moisturizers instead of heavy foundation. Tinted moisturizers are awesome double purpose products that keep your skin hydrated whilst giving you just the right amount of color. Oh and don’t forget your lipstick and cheek stain and brow tint!

Simple jewellery
Most would advise not to wear any type of jewelry when going on trips as you’ll have to go through the hassle of removing them when going through the metal detector during security checks.
If you must wear accessories, steer clear of necklaces with complicated clasps, chunky belts and the like to avoid holding up the security line. After all, less is always more.
